Who makes The Most Insurance Claims

With all the drivers on the road, who actually makes the most car insurance claims?

A survey of 2,000 drivers taken showed people with the sign of Cancer makes the most claims. Second were the people born under the sign of Leo. The types of claims these people of the Zodiac sign Leo make are for accidental damage, which is the highest of all the groups surveyed. The relationship to the Lion and the Leo driver could have something to do with their fast style. The least amount of accidental claims made were by the sign of Gemini. The Gemini’s driving records were the best although they were less concerned with security. Because of this, Gemini’s reported the most amounts of claims for theft. The sign of Aries had a clean safety record, with their number of claims for theft to be the lowest. Virgos admitted to be worriers and easily distracted while driving.

Another group of drivers (and incidentally not related to the Zodiac signs at all), who dominate the car insurance claims, are people who have accidents within a mile of their home. Some causes of these claims are putting the car into reverse and hitting parked cars, drivers going into auto-pilot on streets they are very familiar with, and short consistent trips where drivers drive the same route numerous times a day. Other accidents within this group consist of colliding with neighbours cars, finding dents and scratches and not knowing where they came from, hitting side mirrors when driving narrow streets, and the infamous scraping the car on the side when parking in the garage.

Insurance companies tell their drivers to take precautions to eliminate some of these problems. They suggest always get a good nights sleep to help the auto-pilot mode of driving, especially driving to and from the office. Theft claims can be greatly reduced by installing an approved anti-theft car alarm and immobiliser. When a car has nothing to protect, the thieves are more likely to try and steal the car than not. Around your home area, always check and double check for neighbour’s cars that may be approaching quickly or children.

Regardless of the Zodiac birthday sign people are born under or the mileage away from home they are, every driver needs to take their own responsibility when driving a car.
