As with any other service, consumers in the UK are looking for not only affordable prices but also great customer commitment and high quality when it comes to choosing a mobile broadband provider.

Mobile broadband has become more and more popular, and the wide choice of providers and packages can make things quite difficult for those wanting a great service at an affordable price. However, recent data from a survey could help some customers to make that decision. The latest tests carried out by a major test house have found that out of all the mobile broadband operators the best network for mobile broadband in the first quarter of 2009 was T-Mobile.

A total of 16 cities across the country were used in the tests carried out by the test house P3 solution, which tested all the main mobile broadband providers during peak hours and measured the levels of customer satisfaction. T-Mobile came out on top overall, and this could help to sway many customers who are still looking to find a great mobile broadband deal, and who want to ensure that they pay a price that they can afford without having to compromise on quality and service.

A wide range of factors were included to find the best of the operators and as well as offering consistent mobile broadband connection speeds T-mobile also offered the fastest internet browsing speeds using the more popular sites like BBC and Google, 44 percent quicker when it came to upload speeds when compared to its nearest rival and the highest levels of performance on its email services. When it comes to value for money speed is a very important factor for many when choosing a provider.

T-Mobile UK’s Chief Technology officer, Emin Gurdenli said “This programme of regular, independent testing is playing a crucial role in helping us improve and shape our Mobile Broadband service. The fact that we have come out top for three quarters in a row shows this approach is yielding real benefits to customers in terms of improved network performance and reliability. This has been achieved at a time of unprecedented growth in the number of our mobile broadband customers, which has driven an increase in total data traffic of more than 300% since mobile broadband hit the market in late 2007.”

T-Mobile were also found to be at the top of a number of customer service results prior to these tests, with the recent survey by YouGov advising that the mobile broadband provider had come first in six of these polls and that the coverage offered by its network had been one of the areas that had been assessed. Again, the reputation for good customer service means that consumers that want affordable prices and high quality customer service may decide to opt for T-Mobile based on these results and the results of other polls that have put this provider on top.
