BT opens outlets to demonstrate broadband

Broadband and communications giant BT has recently opened a couple of outlets where the focus will be on demonstrating its latest broadband internet technologies to consumers.

This could provide consumers with a great way to determine which broadband service is right for their homes or even their businesses without having to waste their money signing up to a service that may actually prove to be ineffective.

In the current climate most people are keen to avoid making costly mistakes such as singing up for expensive contracts that may actually be of little use in the end, and this could prove a great way for many to avoid this problem.

It has been revealed that the communications and broadband giant BT is opening two outlets in the UK, where the focus will be on raising awareness of its latest broadband internet technologies through demonstrations to consumers. The dedicated outlets will allow BT to increase awareness over its up and coming broadband products, and could help consumers to better understand the type of technology that will work best for them.

The communications giant wants to spread the word amongst members of the public with regards to its high speed broadband internet services, and also wants to give consumers the opportunity to see how the technology works and ask questions with regards to how they can benefit from the different broadband internet options on offer from BT.

The first of the outlets is set to open in Whitchurch near to Cardiff, and the second will open in Muswell Hill, Hampshire. Officials from BT said that one of the aims of the move was to try and improve relations between the company and its potential customers, and to show them that broadband services from BT can prove highly beneficial.

The Retail Marketing director at BT, Matthew Deardon, stated: “The showcase shows local people what super-fast broadband, currently being trialled in their areas, is all about and enables them to see demonstrations of a range of home and business applications that will enhance their lives.”

BT also said that the two outlet will be the first of their kind in Britain in terms of being dedicated to demonstrations and assisting interest parties, and that more could be opened in other cities if they prove to be successful.

Whilst there are only two of these outlets being set up at the moment across the country, and both are due to open over the next couple of weeks, a higher number being introduced over the course of the year or next year could bring benefits to a greater range of people from all around the country, helping them to choose the right broadband service and avoid paying out money for a service that is not suited to them.

It is thought that with both business and residential consumers becoming more keen to get better quality and service for an affordable price this service from BT could prove to be very popular, and it is therefore likely to benefit the provider as well as the consumer. BT could find itself gaining a lot of new customers simply through providing them with the knowledge and peace of mind that they are after before they sign up to a particular broadband service rather than reeling off technical jargon on the phone simply to get the customer to sign on the dotted line.
