When you phone your motor insurance company to insure your car you tell them you drive a standard 1.8 Mitsubishi Lancer. True enough. However, what you have failed to tell them is that you have made one or two minor modifications to your car so that it now has alloy wheels, a spoiler and flashy strips down the side. Later you need to make a claim on your motor insurance and the car insurance company sends an insurance adjuster around to see your car. Guess what?
